Zilta is a simpler smartphone. Designed around accessible web design and modern smartphone techonlogy. Zilta is intended to let people of all ages and technical abilities get online.
Zilta has been designed specifically for those less confident with technology or people who are using smartphones for the first time. While a significant amount of our early customers have been 55 to 74 year olds, it can be equally relevant to younger or older people seeking simplicity.
Zilta Ltd is a startup company registered in Ireland and supported by the Irish National Digital Research Centre. The founders Lari Numminen and Jukka Kekäläinen have over a decade of experience working in online and mobile commerce.
The beta-version of the simpler Zilta approach to smarphones has been downloaded almost 10,000 times in Google Play since the summer of 2013. Through customer feedback we identified the need for a sensibly priced smartphone and the Zilta phone available for pre-orders in 2014.
Pre-order is a service that lets you order a product before the official launch date.
The following conditions apply for pre-orders:
We aim to deliver pre-ordered products in December, 2014, provided that we have received and processed your payment. This may not be always possible due to availability at our warehouse.
Delivery charges may apply to all pre-orders unless otherwise stated. Standard Delivery timelines (estimated 3 to 7 days) will apply from the moment the pre-ordered product is available. Zilta will deliver in December, 2014, however, should there be any unforeseen circumstances, we will deliver to customers in strict chronological order, which may be after December, 2014.
Payment will be taken as soon as the order is received. Your pre-order purchase is also subject to our General Terms and Conditions.
With Zilta’s Standard Delivery, your goods will be delivered with registered mail service or dispatched using an express courier service, subject to stock and payment clearance. You will receive your goods within 3 - 7 working days. We make every effort to deliver goods within the estimated time, however delays are occasionally inevitable, and we cannot be held liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery. We will require a signature on delivery for your protection. Pre–ordered products: payment is taken at the time of ordering on Zilta and not postponed until dispatch. In the event that an item is temporarily out of stock we will notify you of the delay and dispatch it as soon as it arrives.

These Sale Terms and Conditions (“T&C”), together with the Pre-Order Terms & Conditions, set out the terms and conditions that will apply when you place an order through our online store. If you are unable to understand, or have any questions about, these T&C please contact us. You will be required to confirm that you have read and accept these T&C before you submit an order to Zilta. Please note that T&C are subject to change so review and save or print a copy of these terms prior to each order that you submit.

Each order submitted constitutes an offer to purchase products from us. Orders are subject to our acceptance and we may, at our discretion, refuse to accept your order, including where:
After we receive your order, you will receive an email from us confirming receipt of your order. If you do not receive an email, contact us before you try to place another order for the same product.
We will send you an email when we dispatch all, or if earlier the first part, of the product covered by your order to confirm that your order has been accepted by us.
If you have any questions, comments or concerns regarding our order acceptance policy, or if you consider that your order was rejected by us in error, please contact us.
We will have the right, at any time, to make changes to information about products displayed on our site, for example information about prices, description or the availability of products and we may do so without first giving you notice of the changes. We will not, however, make any changes to the price, availability or description of any product after we have accepted an order to supply the product to you.
You can make changes to or cancel your order at any time before your order has been processed by us. To make changes to your order, please contact us. If your order has already been dispatched, you will only be able to request a refund or exchange of the product: please see our Return Policy.
We currently deliver only within EU territory.
Shipping and handling charges will depend on the value of your order and the country to which the product is being shipped. Any customs duties or tariffs that may be imposed on the deliveries will be paid by you.
Any delivery dates provided to you in connection with your order are estimates. Although we aim to provide you with as accurate estimates as possible, we cannot promise that they are accurate.
We reserve the right to deliver the ordered products in separate shipments.
Product that we deliver to you will become your property at the time that you receive it provided that we have received full payment for the product. As soon as we have delivered the product to you, you will become responsible for it and for any loss or damage to it thereafter.
All prices are as listed on online store and include VAT.
Products and their postage are paid in conjunction with the order. The available payment methods are displayed in connection with the product order form in the online shop.
If you would like to pay by Stripe or PayPal, Zilta will act solely as the marketer of the respective products and services and will provide the products to the customer. All complaints and claims for compensation will be handled by Stripe or PayPal.
Stripe and Paypal shall act as the merchant in the transaction.
If you wish to exchange or return for a refund a product which is faulty or otherwise damaged when you receive it, which does not correspond to the description on our site, or which develops a fault after you receive it, you can do so in accordance with and pursuant to applicable law and our Return Policy.
You can exercise the right to cancel an order within fourteen (14) days from the date that the product is received in accordance and pursuant to the terms of our Return Policy.
